Framed – January 2016

like 5 or 6 days ago I didn’t think I would do my usual “framed” series this month. I felt like with being sick at home, in bed, for almost two and a half weeks and more or less no knitting or anything else to tell I wouldn’t have anything to write about.
And yes, I don’t really have a lot to tell when I think about the first 25 days of this month. Just a little working, feeling sick and ultimately staying in bed.

abbreviations

this page will include all the abbreviations I use in my patterns.
As I plan to make ALL my patterns availably for free during the next months I want to share the abbreviations here, so you can look them up at any time if you need them.
A little disclaimer before we start, I use a rather “unusual” way of writing my crochet patterns. If you are used to knitting patterns this will look very well known to you – but in case you were only crocheting until now, this will look rather strange at first sight. I’m aware of this fact but was sticking to my way of writing things as it made it soo much easier (and shorter) to describe where to increase/decrease. You will find every stitch listed were it’s made.

copyright and FAQ

wow! in order to update my pattern portfolio and finally make it available for free I’ve just started by counting them. I have already made 36 patterns. 36! can you believe it? I never thought it would be that many, NEVER! there are 4 with them that I didn’t publish yet, but that you’ve seen pictures of, like this fly or the¬†clownfish with two different fins.
but 36 this overwhelms me a little, I think it will take a little bit longer than I thought to update (i.e. crochet to check the pattern, re-stylize every pattern and make a new post). I am going to start with easter related things, as this i probably into season right now ūüėČ

But to start I want to write a few things about copyright and answer a few questions I received over the last years.

Framed July 2014

Holy Moly! This month was fun!

so in June I challenged myself to only take pictures related to yarn or amigurumi in July. And for the most part I did it ^__^
sometimes it was a real challenge on other days it was a blast. And I got to get to know some of you a little bit better too! How awesome is this? I want to thank you all for joining and commenting and sending hearts, it was so cool in July with you all on my instagram feed !!

and August? well I plan to mix from now on, I do like the diary thing that this challenge comes with, how at the end of a month I can look back and see my life in pictures again, and I also liked the fun I had with you and my yarny pictures. So I think I will just mix both as good as I can. It’s another
