a shirt for summer, knit from linen, on small needles for a light airy summer feel all the way through. I’m enjoying this one, now that we finally have summer days again even more.
During summer I was knitting pretty constantly. I was lazy on the blog but never put down the needles longer than a few days in a row. Took my knitting with me on travels, knitted in the evenings with a good movie. The only time I didn’t knit was working time. (I do envy YarnHarlot here a lot, whenever I see her posting a picture of her knitting during a meeting, I want to do that in my office too. My colleagues would find that very odd and maybe even suspisous though. I’ll have to work on that…)
so let me teasing you… 🙂
I’m still sooo amazed and excited with my camera, just to start off.
The other day a friend of mine asked me if I would recommend my camera (yes). He has an older Lumix version and is thinking about getting a new one. Maybe the LX100.
He had several questions, like
– is it “handy” enough? so I guess, small, easy/fast to use, maybe with one hand only..
– is it fast enough?
…knitting and then again not so much.
Right now I’m working on a pullover, an enchanted mesa and I give daily updates on my instagram, which is kinda motivating and fascinating at the same time. For once I get to finally see how much time I actually spend on one piece and also it’s amazing to see it grow, in pictures, even if it’s just a few rounds and when you have it on your lap it feels like nothing. You know this, not motivating at all. It’s mainly stockinette which is great for watching movies and traveling but not so much for keeping interest.
started two years ago, bound off last year, unsatisfied. washed, put in the closet, the back of the closet, cleaning the flat, finding more yellow yarn, gleeing for joy, opening the bind off of the button bands again, knitting another couple of inches, adding button holes, finishing a cardigan I love.
This is the long story short.
