I think this is adorable! My kids are cheering because I just printed off the pattern so I can make them one. My oldest is yelling MOMMY! I WANT THE GREEN ONE! I had to tell him I don’t have that shade of green right now but I’ll pick him a different color. That’s settled him down for now ;D Thanks for sharing something so cute! The shape is perfect!

Your free patterns are all so cute! 🙂 I saw your gorgeous Sylvi cardigan with all its complex modification on Ravelry and followed you to your blog and was surprised to see that the focus was more on crocheting. The Amigurumis are nevertheless very very cute. One day I will have to make one, too. 😀

I thought your picture of the four different colored hearts was so cute, I “stole” the picture to use as my computer wallpaper (I promise I won’t use it for anything else). I love being able to look at crocheted heart puffs in such vibrant colors. Almost makes it worth being at work (I said almost :).

Those hearts are soooo incredibly sweet. I’m trying to make one now. I got to the point of connecting the two cups and I cannot understand how to do this. Could you please explain “for SUPER dummies” how to put them together. Could you please do that via email at elenamch@gmail.com. THANK YOU!

Thank you so much for the free Pop Heart pattern. I made a red one for valentine’s day for my husband of 20 years and I added a key dangling from the bottom with a note that said “You have the key to my heart.”
Also a suggestion: I stuffed mine with leftover yarn pieces I had been collecting from previous projects and it worked so well that I am now stuffing another one with some dark acrylic yarn I purchased at a garage sale for 25 cents.
Happy Crafting Everyone : )

Hey could you tell me what the mesurement is of this popping heart. It’s really nice 🙂 length and hight if that’s possible.
Julie October 2, 2014 at 2:07 pm
sorry i’m french so can you just explain what it means when you write “(SC2,M2) x6” does it means that i had to increase with two single crochet stitches and repeat it 6 times ?
so if a understand for this instruction “sc1, (m2, sc3) x5, m2, sc2” i had to make one single crochet stitch, then 3 single crochets stitches 5 times ans then 2 crochet stitches ?
Thanks a lot for your help
Peggy February 12, 2016 at 2:18 pm
I see NO VISUAL for step 14 joining cup A⁉️ I just can’t get my mind around how to do this step
HELP‼️
Diana February 13, 2016 at 8:51 pm
hi Peggy, thanks for letting me know. It must have been deleted accidentally with the last update. I will put it back in later 🙂
Diana February 14, 2016 at 7:23 am
it’s updated again 🙂 thanks again and happy Sunday
Barbara M February 14, 2016 at 5:52 pm
In Cup A, Row 2, what does “m2 x6” mean. I am not familiar with the term “m”. Thank you!
Diana February 14, 2016 at 6:25 pm
Hi Barbara, please also see the abbreviations linked above 🙂 for more info
M2 means make 2 and is a classic increase
Hugs Diana
Lisa March 27, 2017 at 6:32 pm
Totally, utterly and completely lost on step 14. Are the 2 pieces to be joined? Is there a stating point to connect cup A?
Diana March 29, 2017 at 3:53 pm
Hi Lisa, do you see the picture between step 14 and 15? it seemed be gone lost a few weeks ago, but is visible for me now. There you can see how to join the two pieces together. You work 32 sts on cup A, then switch to add cup B, work 41 sts there. Then you close the round back onto cup A. You will essentially have 7 sts on both cups that face each other and are not worked yet. These will be closed later on.
Hope this helps, Diana 🙂
Olena Huffmire August 4, 2017 at 9:42 pm
I made this heart and its looks so cute! Thanks so much for this pattern!
shadowstyxvalkyri August 20, 2017 at 12:26 pm
Is this crocheted in the round or do we finish each row with a slip stitch? Thanks!
Diana January 17, 2019 at 3:56 pm
it’s crocheted in the round, no slip stitches to finish a round, that would show and look a little untidy 🙂
Barb Black February 8, 2018 at 10:45 pm
My heart goes pop! for your kindness of giving us this crochet pattern..Happy Valentine’s Day & Happy 2018 Diana.
Sincerely, Barb Black
Erica February 26, 2018 at 6:17 am
I can’t for the life of me stitch together the 7 (X2) stitches together. What’s your trick, and which side of the work do you have facing each other?
